What is Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is a dedicated desktop and iPhone app for named AI teammates. Bots work on a shared persistent cloud computer (Agent Computer), use skills, routines, and plugins, and stop for approval on consequential actions.
Is Grok Bot the same as Grok on grok.com?
No. Grok chat on grok.com is a conversational product. Grok Bot is a separate workflow surface for handing off multi-step work. Cursor the editor is a third surface.
What happened to “the box”?
Older independent articles used “the box” for Grok Bot’s cloud computer. The product name in the app and xAI docs is Agent Computer. Separate Bots share that computer; separate screens are not a security boundary.
Which plans include Grok Bot?
After 26 August 2026, Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra, and Cursor Teams include it. Individual SuperGrok, Plus, and Heavy can link. Lite, SuperGrok Team, and Enterprise linking are different. Tiers differ by weekly usage. Confirm on Cursor’s plan page.
Is usebot.net affiliated with Cursor or xAI?
No. usebot.net is an independent editorial brand. We publish original, source-linked guides and tools.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. Official jobs include sales, recruiting, finance, and operations. A good first task is a short brief or a checklist from notes you already have.
Where do I start?
Read What is Grok Bot, check your device and plan, then follow Getting started: one Bot, one small reversible task, review before anything is sent. Playbooks come after that first task works.
How do plugins work?
Plugins (also called connectors) link services you authorize. Prefer a plugin when one exists, MCP when a server exists, and Agent Computer’s browser otherwise. Start with least privilege.
Can I teach a Bot by showing it once?
Yes, on desktop. Ask it to follow along, correct the restated path, replay on a second input, then schedule. Teaching is currently limited on iPhone.
Will this site show ads?
The site is prepared for Google AdSense. Ads load only after a publisher client ID is configured. Privacy and terms pages stay ad-free.
