Grok Bot plans: who has access, usage, and SuperGrok linking
Which Cursor and SuperGrok plans include Grok Bot after the 26 August 2026 expansion, how weekly usage and the trial credit work, and why a SuperGrok link cannot be moved.

Grok Bot access depends on the plan and the account you sign in with. This page does not quote prices. Plan names, weekly allowances, and regional billing change faster than an independent guide should freeze.

Who currently gets access
On 26 August 2026, xAI wrote that Grok Bot is included with:
- SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy
- Cursor Pro, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra
- Cursor Teams Standard and Premium
Cursor Help currently matches that expansion for paid individual Cursor plans and self-serve Teams, and says every Teams member has access without a Premium seat. Cursor Enterprise still goes through the account team.
Individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, and SuperGrok Heavy can link to a Cursor account as a usage grant. SuperGrok Lite is not included. SuperGrok Team and Enterprise cannot use this individual linking flow.
Source conflict to expect in search results
Launch-day posts (11 August) listed a narrower set, often SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Teams Premium. xAI’s get-started page has also lagged the 26 August expansion. This guide follows Cursor Help + the 26 August news post. If the in-app plan screen disagrees, the in-app screen wins.
Pro vs Pro+ vs Ultra
All three individual paid Cursor plans currently include Grok Bot. They differ by weekly usage, not by whether you can sign in:
- Pro — included, weekly usage below Pro+
- Pro+ — included, generous weekly usage, below Ultra
- Ultra — included, highest weekly usage among those individual plans
Confirm the live allowance on the plan screen. Do not trust a screenshot from launch week.
How usage is metered
Cursor Help currently says:
- Paid access includes usage that resets weekly
- Extra usage can continue on shared on-demand spend if on-demand is enabled
- Grok Bot usage is metered on the Cursor account, not on Grok
- A SuperGrok link grants Grok Bot usage on that same Cursor account
- macOS and iOS share one bucket
xAI’s expansion post also says Grok Bot usage is separate from ordinary Grok and Cursor usage, so handing work to a Bot should not drain the editor quota. If those two statements ever diverge in the product UI, believe the meter you can see.
The trial is a usage credit
The free trial is described as a usage credit with a window of about seven days, not a fixed number of tasks. It is drawn down by agent steps and tokens. A long computer-use job can finish the credit in one run. Used trial credit is not restored.
Start small. Check the plan screen before an overnight job. Cancel from the plan screen when Cancel Trial is offered; App Store purchases follow Apple’s subscription tools.
SuperGrok linking is a one-way grant
Linking does not change or cancel your Cursor plan. Cursor Help currently says:
- The link is permanent once created
- You cannot unlink or move it to a different Cursor account
- Sign in to the correct Cursor account before linking
If Grok Bot does not recognize an eligible SuperGrok plan:
- Confirm the subscription is active and individual (not Lite, Team, or Enterprise).
- Sign in to the Cursor account you intend to keep.
- Use the first-party plan screen, not a forwarded marketing link.
- Complete linking with the identity that owns SuperGrok.
- Update or restart Grok Bot, then recheck.
Do not buy a second subscription to debug an account mismatch.
Teams and Enterprise
Team admins can still restrict plugins, privacy, or data settings. Legacy Privacy Mode must be moved to a supported Cursor data setting before Grok Bot will start. Details: Grok Bot for teams.
