Grok Bot download and platform requirements
Check Grok Bot support for macOS, Windows, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Linux before you download or troubleshoot the app.

Before changing settings or reinstalling anything, confirm that Grok Bot supports your device. The answer is different for desktop and mobile, and “Grok works here” does not necessarily mean the dedicated Grok Bot app does.
Supported platforms at a glance
As of the verification date below, official documentation lists:
- macOS: Apple silicon and Intel builds
- Windows: x64 and Arm64 builds
- iPhone: the mobile app requires iOS 18 or later
The dedicated mobile app is not currently documented for iPad or Android. A Linux desktop download is also not listed. Product availability changes, so use the official download page rather than a third-party installer.

Safe installation path
- Open the first-party Grok Bot get-started page.
- Choose the installer that matches your operating system and processor.
- Install the app, sign in with the account that holds the relevant plan, and allow the app to update before diagnosing missing features.
- On iPhone, confirm the device is running iOS 18 or later before assuming an account problem.
Avoid unofficial download mirrors. An assistant that can access local files, tools, and connected services deserves the same caution as a password manager or developer tool.
How to identify your Mac processor
Open Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip says Apple M-series, choose the Apple silicon build. If it says Intel, choose the Intel build. Do not guess from the age or appearance of the Mac.
How to identify Windows architecture
Open Settings → System → About and read System type. Most PCs use x64. Windows on Arm devices need the Arm64 installer. Installing the wrong architecture can cause a failed launch or an unnecessary troubleshooting loop.
If your platform is not listed
Do not download an unofficial package or assume a similarly named Grok app has the same capabilities. Use the documented web or Cursor experience available to your account, or wait for a first-party announcement. If a supported app still will not start, continue with the troubleshooting guide.
