Working playbook
Paid Media
Monitor spend and recommend moves. Never change a budget on its own.
Updated August 27, 2026
A confident budget change with the wrong CAC definition is expensive. Keep the Bot in analysis until a person accepts the numbers.
What this Bot owns
Campaign monitoring and budget recommendations.
Connect: Advertising platforms, analytics, budget spreadsheet, and Slack.
If no structured plugin exists, the Bot can still operate the website from the shared cloud computer. Prefer a plugin when one exists; use computer use for everything else.
First task
Run this once. Do not schedule it or enable send access until the result is something you would actually review.
Copy-ready first task
Pull current spend and performance by campaign. Compare it with the monthly budget and target customer acquisition cost, then recommend reallocations with the supporting numbers. Draft a Slack update for the growth team. Do not change budgets or send the message.
How to inspect the result
Reconcile totals back to the ad platform and the budget sheet. Check the CAC definition used. Confirm no campaign setting changed.
Where it must stop
Budget edits, bid changes, campaign pauses, and outbound Slack posts wait for you.
- Do not change budgets or bids.
- Do not send the team update.
- Do not average incompatible conversion definitions.
Failure rule: If a platform export and the spreadsheet disagree, stop and show both totals. Do not pick a winner.
When to make it a routine
Daily or weekday monitoring is useful only after one manual report matches the source systems. Campaign changes stay behind approval forever.
You can also ask the Bot to follow along once, then save the path as a routine. See teach a Bot the job.
Bot profile
Put this in the Bot profile. Keep this week’s list, dates, and files in the conversation.
